AMD today made available the ATI Catalyst drivers 10.04 WHQL video card the Radeon HD 2000 series HD 5000 and the latest Windows operating systems. Among the new AMD there are some improvements on the video front, as H.264 Level 5.1 support, which allows the ATI drivers to play streaming player 5.1 on all supported and at high resolutions (4Kx2K). AMD has incorporated in this version for updates regarding transcoding, with improved support for video conversion via Drag and Drop in Windows 7. The drivers support new formats (H.264 – MTS and WMV9 Complex profile interlaced content). The Catalyst Control Center, however, was equipped with an option to enable or disable GPU acceleration, while support to Video Converter available in a new guise.
